چکیده
A 70-day experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of mulberry leaf extract (MLE) on growth, proximate compositions, antioxidant and plasma biochemical parameters, indices non-specific immunity largemouth bass ( Micropterus salmoides ) fed a high-starch diet. Two hundred eighty (initial body weight, 68.00 ± 0.19 g) were randomly seven diets: basal-starch diet (BSD; 8.88% starch), (HSD; 11.42% HSD diets supplemented with 0.05%, 0.10%, 0.20%, 0.50%, 1.00% MLE (MLE1, MLE2, MLE3, MLE4, MLE5, respectively). The results indicated that did not significantly affect growth performance during experimental period compared BSD, but supplementation more than 0.20% (MLE3, MLE5) decreased hepatosomatic index (HSI) values, (MLE5) viscerosomatic (VSI) values. whole-body moisture fish an significantly, while lipid content increased in group BSD group. Compared HSD, contents whole body. Supplementation muscle. hepatic muscle glycogen. malondialdehyde (MDA) group, whereas 0.10% (MLE2, MDA content. Additionally, total capacity (T-AOC), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) activities MLE5 higher those complement-3 (C3) globulin (GLB) lower Plasma C3 levels groups In addition, glucose (GLU) 0.50% (MLE4) lysozyme (LYZ) alanine transaminase (ALT) aspartate (AST). complement-4 (C4) GLB alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity. Overall, these findings suggest could improve capacity, immune function, glycolipid metabolism, thereby alleviating negative M. .

Survival of Foul-Hooked Largemouth Bass(Micropterus salmoides)
We conducted a field experiment to determine the survival rate of foul-hooked (hooked external to the oral cavity) largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) caught and released by recreational anglers. Of 42 largemouth bass caught with hard-plastic baits containing three treble hooks, 15 were hooked only within the mouth and 27 had at least one hook penetrating the external surface of the fish (i...
متن کاملEffect of catch-and-release angling on growth of largemouth bass, Micropterus salmoides
Catch-and-release angling is popular in many parts of the world and plays an increasingly important role in management of recreational fisheries. Although the magnitude of catch-and-release mortality is well documented for many species, potential sublethal effects have been little studied. An experiment was conducted to assess directly the effects of catch-and-release angling on growth of large...
متن کاملInfluence of local adaptation and interstock hybridization on the cardiovascular performance of largemouth bass Micropterus salmoides.
In this study, the cardiovascular response to exhaustive exercise among differentiated stocks of largemouth bass Micropterus salmoides was compared at 10 degrees C and 20 degrees C to assess the level of their local adaptation. In addition, the impact that interstock hybridization had on adaptive differences was assessed using F1 hybrids. To accomplish these assessments, four genetically distin...
متن کاملCloning, characterization, expression, and feeding response of thyrotropin receptor in largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides).
Thyrotropin receptor (TSHR) is a G-protein-coupled receptor that regulates the synthesis, storage, and secretion of thyroid hormones in the thyroid tissue. The aims of the present study were to characterize the full-length TSHR cDNA in largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides), and to determine the TSHR gene transcription levels in different tissues. In addition, the response of TSHR transcriptio...
